51st SCORE Baja 500:2018
Scott Bailey and Gustavo Vildosola won last years Baja 500 and they were out to do it again. The race didn’t start off to well. There was a huge bottle neck that ended up getting them stuck at the beginning of the race. It put them down for some time. They were able to keep charging and while making up time the 1L Trophy Truck lost a front tire and a Brake line. Co-Driver Adam Shreve was able to jump out and the 1L moving once again. The brakes however never quite came back the rest of the race. The were able to keep the truck moving and finished with a 4th place in Class.
Brandon Bailey charged this challenging course and had a race strategy of clean and steady. After the bottleneck in the beginning of the race the game plan changed, and he needed to charge. He ended up with a few flats that CO- Driver Jason Dudley fixed quickly. Later in the race we had to change out an air filter due to the amount of silt in this race. He ended up with a 6th place finish in Class.
